Beijing’s Shijingshan district held a talent conference on Friday, which attracted over 300 industrial experts from both domestic and international backgrounds in various fields, along with professionals in the venture capital sector, demonstrating the sincere efforts of the capital’s western region in attracting outstanding talents from all walks of life to advance the area’s development.
The fourth batch of “Jingxian Talents,” totaling 42 individuals, was newly recognized at the event, covering key fields such as industrial internet, virtual reality, and artificial intelligence in the Shijingshan district. With this addition, the number of recognized “Jingxian Talents” has now reached 185 individuals.
Jingxian Talents is a talent project in the district, aiming to introduce over 1,000 high-level talents and urgently needed professionals who can drive and lead high-quality regional development within the next three years. Additionally, the district plans to attract over 10,000 talents of various types by providing quality job opportunities.
Chang Wei, the Party secretary of the district committee, said that during the conference that in recent years, Shijingshan has been leading industrial innovation with technology, promoting the construction of key industrial parks and planning for future industrial layouts.
According to Chang, the district has already established strengths in emerging industries such as modern finance, industrial internet, artificial intelligence, digital creativity and science fiction.
“Fully leveraging the critical role of talents as engines for economic and social development, the scale of talents in various fields in the Shijingshan district continues to grow,” he said. “The district will continuously make efforts to attract more outstanding talents to choose Shijingshan to live and work.”
